UniSIM Organizes Active Citizenship Forum

Responding to the call of SM Lee for more Active Citizens, UniSIM organized "Active Citizenship - For a Better Community, For a Better World".

The School of Arts and Social Sciences of UniSIM, organized a gallery walk and forum to promote the call to “make it happen, stand up and do our part to shape Singapore’s future”. Speakers representing the following sectors have been invited to share their inspirations, the social impact of their work, and the sustainability of their vision:

• Media and the Citizen
• Heritage and the Citizen
• Corporate Social Responsibility
• Social Entrepreneurship
• Citizenship, Leadership and Motivation

Speakers included:

  • Dr Alison Eyring, CEO Organisation Solutions Singapore
  • Dr Hui Yew-Foong, Anthropologist and Fellow, Institute of Southeast Asian Studies
  • Mr Felix Soh, Digital Media Editor, SPH
  • Mr Kenny Low, Founder City College and O School
  • Mr Thomas Thomas, Executive Director, Singapore Compact for Corporate Social Responsibility
