International Networking

Forge international links and make friends with people from other countries and cultures, you will help create a better understanding about the challenges that face us all today.

Junior Chamber International is a membership-based non-profit organization of 200,000 young people ages 18 to 40 in 5,000 communities and more than 100 countries around the world.

As a JCI member, you have the opportunity to attend several JCI conferences throughout the year. The two biggest are the Asia Pacific Conference and World Congress. JCI Singapore sends a delegation to both. If you go along, you will:

      • see the big picture of JCI and learn how it works

    • bond with the people you’re traveling with

    • expand your network as you meet many international JCI members

    • make friends with open-minded, supportive people who will encourage you to reach your goals

    • have an enormous amount of fun.

Conferences offer high-quality training, lectures and keynote speeches (often on topics such as leadership, management and entrepreneurship).

They also lay on social events. During big conferences, different JCI countries host the evening parties. You could find yourself tasting sushi at the Japanese night, tucking into smørrebrød at the Danish party and slaking your thirst with sangria at the Catalonian evening.

JCI members find that conferences are a fantastic investment. You’ll come back feeling energized, inspired, and with a bulging contacts book.

Community Projects

Community spirit in JCI doesn’t stop at a local level; many national and international projects take place each year. JCI is an official partner of the United Nations and supports the UN Millennium Development Goals.

JCI believes in Global Impact through local action. Below is an inspiring sppech by Harald Lepisk at Budapest on JCI World Public Speaking Championship encouraging young leaders to take action to leave a legacy to the world:

JCI Singapore's various chapters conduct community Impact projects throughout the year, addressing various concerns in Singapore as well as globally.

Some causes we currently support are:

      • under-privileged schooling children

    • terminally ill children

    • elderly living alone without family support

If you wish to contribute in volunteering in our community outreach programs do not hesitate to sign up now!

Other than community projects, we are also actively contributing to formulating community policies. By engaging various government bodies, civil community like other NGOs, NPOs and Social Enterprises, we help to contribute towards sustainable solutions to address challenges in our community.

Business Networking

JCI achieves it's goals of impacting the community through a tripartite partnership with government, civil society and businesses. Entrepreneurs form a critical part of the partnership. JCI members engage the business community via seminars, workshops and networking.

Networking with corporates, SMEs, business owners are an integral part of our role to encourage more participation of businesses in social responsibility.

While interacting with successful business people, our young members get to learn from best practices, business and personal philosophies upfront and personal.

As a large proportion of JCI members globally are also entrepreneurs, we also believe that being a good entrepreneur helps to create more jobs in the economy, and by adopting the UN Global Compact principles, we provide fair employment to empower the workforce.
